Donn and Jeanne Claybaugh, parents of Paul Mitchell Schools Dean and Cofounder Winn Claybaugh, celebrate 70 years of marriage on July 25, 2013.

Well known in the nationwide network of Paul Mitchell Schools, Donn and Jeanne have attended numerous school activities, from grand openings and graduations to annual events like the Las Vegas Caper, Paul Mitchell Gathering, and the biannual school owners and directors Summit meetings. "My parents have always been my biggest supporters and cheerleaders," Winn says. "When I decided to open my first school in 1983, my parents mortgaged their home to help me start the business."

“I am fortunate in the fact that my parents have been happily and romantically married for seventy years,” Winn says. “When I spend time with them, I see that they’re just as romantic with each other now as they’ve been for as long as I can remember. Ten times a day I catch them hugging, kissing, and saying to each other, ‘Oh, I love you so much.’ They’re my relationship mentors. I think to myself, If they can maintain romance for seventy years, then there’s hope for me. I am so grateful for the relationship I have with my parents. I enjoy them so much! I can honestly say that I call them every single day, and we end every call by saying ‘I love you.’”

Happy anniversary, Donn and Jeanne!
