Animal Lovers Unite!
by Paul Mitchell Schools on 4/30/2009Paul Mitchell Schools Launch John Paul Pet Clubs
After a successful test in four Paul Mitchell Cosmetology Schools, the new John Paul Pet Club was launched to the entire network in April 2009.
Designed as an organization for animal lovers, these student-run clubs:
- Cut hair and organize other FUNraising events to benefit and build awareness for local animal shelters, rescues, and/or charities (such as the pet fashion shows held by several schools as part of their Magic of Memories FUNraising campaigns)
- Collaborate with the Design Team to volunteer at local animal-related shows and charity events to promote John Paul Pet and Paul Mitchell Schools
- Educate school staff, Future Professionals, and guests about the history and animal-related philanthropy of John Paul DeJoria and John Paul Mitchell Systems, as well as the benefits of John Paul Pet products
- Work with the Take Home Team on inventory, ordering, and branding of John Paul Pet products within the school
Several schools have already started their clubs and held charity pet fashion shows, doggy washes, and dog walk-a-thons and participated in SPCA and humane society-sponsored events as part of their outreach within the animal community.
Any school that carries the John Paul Pet product line can form a John Paul Pet Club, and everyone is welcome to join. All you need is a group of animal lovers and a staff member to serve as team leader.
