Paul Mitchell Schools Give to the "Red Cross" of the Beauty Industryby How You Can Give Back on 5/1/2008
Each year, Paul Mitchell Schools spend the months of February, March, and April raising money for several worthwhile organizations. The $25,000 donated to the NCA Disaster Relief Fund will provide monetary grants of approximately $1,500 for 1215 beauty industry professionals and future professionals in the wake of a natural disaster.
NCA Executive Director Gordon Miller says, The money is used to provide emergency financial relief to salon professionals whose lives and careers have been interrupted by natural disaster. "
Gordon adds, "We learned from Hurricane Katrina that what seemed like a small amount of money gave people not only the help they needed immediately but sometimes gave them the mental resolve to get past what seemed insurmountable in their lives. Weve learned that these donations are really important and thats why we do them quickly. Were kind of like the Red Cross of the beauty industry. The power of these donations to help these people keep it together in a very difficult time has been proven time and time again.
