Paul Mitchell Schools Spread the Word: There's No Excuse for Abuse

by How You Can Give Back on 5/1/2008

As a result of their 2008 Magic of Memories "FUNraising campaign, Paul Mitchell Beauty Schools donated $25,000 to Cut It Out, a program of the Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund.

Dianne Mooney, founder of Cut It Out, said, On behalf of victims and survivors of domestic abuse, Id like to thank Winn Claybaugh and everyone at Paul Mitchell Schools for their very generous donation to Cut It Out Salons Against Domestic Abuse. These funds will allow us to print and distribute over 100,000 safety cards that will be displayed on salon counters or in rest rooms. Safety cards, printed in both English and Spanish, list the warning signs of domestic violence and reveal specific actions a victim can take to find qualified local resources for help. A victim can discreetly put a safety card in her shoe so a perpetrator cannot see it. Over the last three years, over 2 million safety cards have been put into the hands of consumers by school and salon professionals who are committed to spreading the word that theres no excuse for abuse.
