About the Site:
The Site is designed to provide users (“you” or “User”) with information about PMAE and PMAE-authorized schools across the United States (each, a “Partner School”) and the educational/training programs and curriculums they offer. On the Site, you can search for our Partner Schools based on location and visit school-specific pages and learn more about what each particular school has to offer. In addition, you can fill out and submit a preliminary application (“Application”) on the Site to one or more particular Partner Schools of your interest.
Notice To California Residents – Your California Privacy Rights:
As a general matter, PMAE and our Partner Schools do NOT knowingly share User information with third parties for direct marketing purposes. Any request for a disclosure required under this California law should be sent to us in writing at the email or postal address specified in Section 9 (Contact Us) below. Please note that under this law, we are not required to respond to a customer’s request more than once in a calendar year, nor are we required to respond to any request that is not sent to the email or postal address designated above.
1. PROTECTING CHILDREN
The Site is NOT designed or intended for children under the age of 13, and we and our Partner Schools do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. No person under the age of 13 is allowed to submit an Application on the Site. We reserve the right to verify your age before you make an Application on the Site. If an Application is made by an underage child, such Application will be deemed void, and upon discovery we will permanently delete all information associated with such Application. We urge parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in and monitor the online activities of their children.
2. CHANGES AND UPDATES
3. COLLECTION AND USE OF Information
3.1 Personal Information. This refers to your personally identifiable information, such as first and last name, telephone number, email address, mailing address, date of birth, and personal background information. The Site does not require registration to access, and you can use most areas of the Site without having to disclose personal information to us. However, to the extent you voluntarily provide personal information to us, we collect and use such information for the purposes for which it was provided by you. The following are specific situations in which we collect your personal information as and to the extent provided by you (each of the following is referred to hereinafter as an “Identification Activity”):
(i) If you submit an Application on the Site to one of our Partner Schools, we and that Partner School will collect your information on the Application and will use the information to consider your Application and to contact and communicate with you regarding your Application via email, postal mail, and/or by calling you at the phone number you provided. If you enroll into that Partner School, your information on the Application will become part of your school admission/enrollment records. In addition, to the extent you make an election (opt-in) on your Application to receive marketing communications via email, postal mail, telephone and/or mobile phone from PMAE and/or any of our Partner Schools, PMAE and the applicable Partner School(s) will send you marketing communications pursuant to your opt-in election (subject to your opt-out choice described in Section 5 below).
(ii) If you elect to join our electronic mailing list, we will collect your name and email address and will send you via email our newsletters as well as news, announcements, and marketing communications from PMAE and/or our Partner Schools (subject to your opt-out choice described in Section 5 below).
(iii) If you contact us or one of our Partner Schools to make an inquiry or request, we and/or that Partner School will collect and use your information to respond to and communicate with you regarding your inquiry or request.
Whether or not to disclose personal information is completely your choice. However, without providing your information, you will not be able to engage in or complete an Identification Activity.
3.2 Log File Data and Cookie Session Information. The Site web servers automatically generate log files which may contain data linked to individual Users of the Site, such as IP addresses, ISP domain names, browser types, operating systems, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps, clickstream data, etc. Also, to the extent Users have enabled “cookies” in their browsers, we may use “cookies” to collect session information about Users’ visits to the Site, including tracking their path through the Site and where they came from (for example, if they arrive via a search engine). We and/or our Partner Schools collect and use log file data and cookie session information internally for the operation of the Site. We and our Partner Schools do not knowingly share with others the Site’s log file data or cookie session information that is linked to individual Users.
3.3 Aggregate Information. This is any information collected or compiled in aggregate form, without identifying any User individually. For example, we may collect aggregate tracking information derived mainly from tallying page views throughout the Site. Also, we may gather or compile demographic and/or other aggregate data about our users as a group. We use aggregate data to administer and monitor the Site, to analyze Site traffic and usage patterns and trends, to improve the functionality of the Site, and to enable us to personalize and better user experience on the Site. We may report aggregate data about the Site to our partners, sponsors and service vendors.
4. SHARING OF INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES
As a general matter, we and our Partner Schools do not knowingly share your personal information with others, except in the following limited circumstances:
(i) We and/or our Partner Schools may employ outside contractors, vendors and service providers to perform services to us and/or our Partner Schools, and may share your personal information with such contractors, vendors and service providers to the extent necessary for them to perform such services. For example, third-party service providers may be given access to your personal information as necessary to perform support or maintenance for the operation of the Site, such as data backup and storage. We and our Partner Schools require that such contractors, vendors and service providers limit their use of Users’ personal information solely to the purposes for which it was disclosed by us and/or our Partner Schools, and that they maintain the confidentiality, security and integrity of such information and not make any further disclosure to others.
5. USER ACCESS AND OPT-OUT
5.1 Information Access: You may request to update, correct or delete your information previously provided to us by contacting us at the email or postal address or the phone number specified in Section 9 (Contact Us) below. However, you acknowledge that we reserve the right to retain your information if doing so is required by law or to comply with legal process (including a court order or subpoena) or a legitimate law enforcement need. Also, if you have enrolled into one of our Partner Schools, you cannot delete your information that is part of your school admission/enrollment records.
5.2 Opt-Out: You may request to stop (opt-out) receiving marketing communications from us and our Partner Schools by contacting us at the email or postal address or the phone number specified in Section 9 (Contact Us) below. Also, for certain types of marketing communications, you can exercise opt-out choice through the following alternative methods:
To stop receiving marketing emails, you can use the opt-out means (e.g., an “unsubscribe” link) provided in emails that you have previously received from us and/or our Partner Schools.
To stop receiving marketing text messages on your mobile phone, you can reply STOP to a marketing message you have previously received from us and/or our Partner Schools, or text STOP to the short code used for the messaging program from which you wish to opt out.

If you later wish to resume receiving marketing communications from us and/or any of our Partner Schools, you must make an opt-in election again, such as by contacting us at the email or postal address or the phone number specified in Section 9 (Contact Us) below.
6. COOKIES AND SIMILAR DEVICES
6.2 Other Tracking Devices: We may use other industry standard technologies like pixel tags and web beacons to track your use of the Site, or may allow third-party service providers to use these devices. Pixel tags and web beacons are tiny graphic images placed on certain pages on the Site, or in our emails that allow us to determine whether you have performed a specific action. When you access these pages or open or click an email, pixel tags and web beacons generate a non-personally identifiable notice of that action. Pixel tags allow the Site to measure and improve our understanding of visitor traffic and behavior on the Site. We may also utilize pixel tags and web beacons provided by others for the same purposes.
6.3 Third Party Functionalities: The Site may enable certain third-party functionalities to enhance your experience on the Site, including social plug-ins, tools and APIs. Prior to using any third-party functionalities (e.g., Facebook “Like” button) on the Site, you should consult the privacy notices of the third-party providers of such functionalities (e.g., Facebook), as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, such third parties, or how they may use the information. The privacy policies and data practices of such third parties may significantly differ from ours, and we make no representation or warranty whatsoever about their policies and practices. Your communications and interactions with such third parties are solely between you and them, and are at your own risk.
7. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES
We and our Partner Schools use commercially reasonable measures to safeguard personal information that Users have shared with us, but absolute security cannot be guaranteed. No data transmission over the Internet and no data storage can be 100% secure. Consequently, we and our Partner Schools do not warrant or guarantee the security of any information you transmit to, from or on the Site. We and/our Partner Schools will notify you in the event we or they become aware of a breach or suspected breach of the security of your personal information stored by us or them. However, we and our Partner Schools shall not be liable for any breach of the security of your personal information resulting from causes or events that are beyond our or their control, including, without limitation, your own act or omission, corruption of storage media, defects in third-party data security products or services, power failures, natural phenomena, riots, acts of vandalism, hacking, sabotage, or terrorism.
