Justin

Learning Leader/Cutting Specialist/Paul Mitchell Dallas Graduate

Experience in education…
Began cosmetology my senior year in high school, completed 500 hrs. And transferred to Paul Mitchell Dallas to complete the rest of my hours. Graduated from PMTSD in 2008.  Went back to PMTSD for instructor program in 2010. Began teaching in 2011.  I love continuing my knowledge and skills of hair cutting/coloring and styling through trainings with advanced academy members that host specialist trainings for Paul Mitchell educators.

Experience in the beauty industry…
I worked in a few different salons after graduating in 2008 experiencing all levels of assisting, receptioning, apprenticing, and renting a chair. Began Teaching in 2011 at PMTSD, I've been the cutting and texture specialist for night school, I've taught Core as well as Protege day and night, Phase 1 and phase 2 leader for both day and night. Left teaching in 2014 to focus all my time and energy on building a clientele in Frisco, TX. After establishing a big enough clientele to be comfortable with leasing a suite, in 2015, I decide to do both passions of mine, so now I teach Mon - Wed and take all of my guests Thurs. - Saturday.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…
Being raised by my grandparents I find my Grandmother  Nancy Krywalski to be my biggest Mentor. The strength and amount of love she's had and gave over the years raising me, and losing my grandfather while me being a sophomore in high school has given me strength and shown me how to love unconditionally, as well as to be understanding and patient. She always believed in me when I felt no one else did, and taught me to believe in my self, also to always "try and try and never give up".

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Arlington is…
The school itself is amazing and feels like a space ship compared to other schools I've been in across the country! The area is full of foot traffic and there are so many places to eat and shop surrounding the school. The location is a hot spot and keeps extremely busy.

To me, living beautifully means…
Being able to do what you love, both career wise and in your personal life.
