Paul Mitchell The School Denver
Team

Meet some of the team members who make Paul Mitchell The School Denver so special.

Lindsay

Esthetics Learning Leader

Experience in education…

Three years.

Experience in the beauty industry…

I have been in this industry for 10 years as an esthetician and 12 years as a makeup artist.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

I don’t think that I can say it has been one person; it has been a team effort. They have seen me from the beginning, coming straight out of the spa to now, three years later, as a Learning Leader; they have pushed me every step of the way, molding me and growing me. I have learned a lot and I am still learning, and that is the best inspiration I can ask for.

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Denver is…

Being able to inspire the students in this ever changing industry. Seeing the students grow and build themselves in the career that they love.

To me, living beautifully means…

Means laughing whenever possible, even at the tiniest of things. Maybe it’s a little chuckle or one of those keel-over, holding your stomach, can’t breathe, tears-rolling-down-your-cheeks kind of laughter. Whatever it may be, just laugh!

Marcus

Future Professional Adviser

Experience in education…

I’ve been in education since 2008, and have a degree in elementary education from San Diego State University.

Experience in the beauty industry…

I’ve been with Paul Mitchell The School Denver since 2012.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My mom. I know it sounds like the typical answer, but she has been the one who has always helped me and motivated me to do my best in whatever I am embarking on.

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Denver is…

Being able to interact with the Future Professionals, and create magic with my humor and personality.

To me, living beautifully means…

Paying it forward.

Sarah

Financial Aid Leader

Experience in education…

I’ve completed training with the Department of Education, NASFAA.

Experience in the beauty industry…

I’ve been more involved in the fashion side of things, managing and merchandising for Banana Republic.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My father. He worked hard, took care of his family, and still found the time to pursue his artistic talent.

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Denver is…

The staff and students I have the privilege of working with every day.

To me, living beautifully means…

Following your heart, enjoying each and every moment.

Whitney

Admissions Leader, Paul Mitchell School graduate

Experience in education…

I graduated from Paul Mitchell Schools and I am Level 1 color and cutting certified.

Experience in the beauty industry…

I have two years of salon experience, and three years’ experience as a Learning Leader. I’ve participated in hair shows, fashion shows, and photo shoots, as well as Caper 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and The Gathering 2010.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

Evie Larsen. She was my Learning Leader when I was a Future Professional and then inspired me to become a Learning Leader myself. She is also an Advanced Academy makeup team member!

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Denver is…

Our culture. I love watching the Future Professionals grow and step into their best selves, not only in their technical skills but also in their lives and personal skills.

To me, living beautifully means…

Spending time with family and friends, and inspiring others to step into their light.

Jeffrey

Operations Leader/Daymaker

Experience in the beauty industry…

Though I’m not a licensed hairdresser, I have worked in the industry since 1986 with John Paul Mitchell Systems. I started in distribution with R. Stafford Co., working in the warehouse, customer service, house account sales, and as operations manager. I left R. Stafford in 1994, and have been working at Paul Mitchell The School Denver since 2010.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

John Paul DeJoria.

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Denver is…

Providing an awesome school environment for Future Professionals to learn, grow, and graduate to become the next generation of great hairstylists.

To me, living beautifully means…

Being positive, helping others, and enjoying life with family and friends. If you love what you do and who you do it with and for, you can’t really call it “work”; it’s more of a lifestyle.
