Prior to working with Paul Mitchell The School Fayetteville, I worked in the information technology world as an engineer and corporate trainer. I also spent three years during college as a language trainer at a language and training institute.

 

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

Scott Bills, the director of Paul Mitchell The School Columbia. Scott's ability to execute projects large and small while working with his staff and student body is amazing. He is able to tackle the largest issue and the smallest challenge with equal aplomb.

 

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Fayetteville is…

Knowing that graduates will take what they've learned and serve others. The school is like a large "pay it forward" institution. There's great satisfaction in knowing that the school helps make a difference in people's lives.

 

To me, living beautifully means…

To lose one's self in the service of others.

I taught high school as a business administration teacher for 12 years prior to working for Paul Mitchell The School Fayetteville.

Since my early teen years, my family has been consistently connected to the beauty industry. During college I worked the front desk at Von Curtis Academy (Paul Mitchell The School Provo) and loved the interaction with the staff and student body.

 

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My family and friends are my inspiration.

I have continued my education in the beauty industry by attending classes and by continuing to work on the clinic floor of the Paul Mitchell School when asked to do so. I still try to keep my skills sharp at home.

My mother. She is the person who has inspired me the most with her loving and caring attitude. My mother's attributes are what inspire me to want to become more each day.

I have also been a salon artist for three years since graduation. I currently work at a local salon where the focus is men's cutting, at which I have become very adept.

My son. I love him dearly and everything I do is with his future in mind.

I don’t only get to inspire and teach, but I’m also able to impact the Future Professionals by helping them to have the strength to be the best they can be.

I spent a wonderful year at a salon in the area and was recruited by the school to work as a service desk coordinator. I bring a wonderful culture and spirit to the school.

Lorna Molina is my mentor. She is the Phase Two Specialist at Paul Mitchell The School Fayetteville, and worked hard to motivate and push me out of my comfort zones.  Lorna had faith in me when I didn't have faith in myself.

The lifelong friends I've made, along with the job being easygoing and fun.

Prior to working at Paul Mitchell The School Fayetteville, I enjoyed years in the U.S. Army, much of which involved small group training and instructing. I bring that wealth of experience to a school nestled in the military town of Fayetteville, NC.

I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School in 2012, and worked for two years in a salon prior to returning and moving through the Learning Leader program.

My entire life is filled with mentors who keep me going and help me discover new things.

That we work hard and play hard. Most of my co-workers are an extension of my family, which makes work more enjoyable.
