Her philosophy centers on her solid belief that the only way to true success in life and career comes from holding oneself accountable to their core principles and always continuing to push to higher plateaus for accomplishment.
Alifia's passion for teaching and her philosophy of "you can't own it until you give it away" has guided her through a wellrounded career in the beauty industry as a successful stylist, major product distributor and platform artist for many national cosmetic and hair care lines, including MAC, Stila, and Paul Mitchell.

Erik began as director of the school following a successful career as owner/operator of Erik Pedersen Graphic Design with some 25 years of vast experience doing brand and marketing consulting with companies such as Ford, General Motors, Dunn Edwards Paints, John Paul Mitchell Systems, Corona Tools and Weiser Lock. As director of Paul Mitchell The School Fresno, Erik's experience in business management and marketing serve to not only direct the school in its successful operations but also lend essential mentoring to the Future Professionals as they build their business acumen. As an experienced commercial photographer, Erik also conducts frequent photo shoots with Future Professionals providing them with valuable behindthecamera experience while helping to grow their portfolios.
A 30 plus year veteran in the beauty industry, D'Ann Evans got her start in the Central Valley. She was born in Bakersfield and attended cosmetology school in Fresno. D'Ann went on to Redken, Inc. as the educational program developer for their highly acclaimed cosmetology school education program. From there she moved to a video production company which catered to the professional beauty industry. As a video producer, she wrote and produced corporate and instructional materials for the majority of the professional beauty industry, including John Paul Mitchell Systems.
D'Ann was asked to join John Paul Mitchell Systems 24 years ago as their director of program development. After 19 years with John Paul Mitchell Systems she resigned from her position as vice president of corporate shows and events to work fulltime within the school.
Her poise as a top industry professional offers mentorship ability and knowledge unsurpassed by the competition's staff.
