Paul Mitchell The School Memphis provides cosmetology, and cosmetology instructor education in an 11,550-square-foot campus. Located in the bustling Poplar Plaza shopping center near the University of Memphis, our cosmetology school is just minutes from downtown. Students come from downtown, Midtown, and East Memphis, as well as Germantown, Arkansas, Mississippi, and other surrounding areas to learn at our school and experience exciting attractions, from Graceland, Beale Street, and the famous Bass Pro Shops at the Memphis Pyramid (the world’s biggest Bass Pro Shop) to outdoor adventures, museums, and delicious barbecue.

Start your cosmetology education and learn real-world haircutting, coloring, styling, makeup, skin care, and nails. You’ll explore the fundamentals and theory in the classroom, then practice skills like braiding, extensions, and other popular techniques in a salon environment, using professional products, tools, and skills.

Our Instructor Program uses various methodologies to teach instructors how to facilitate theory and practical lessons, along with the necessary skill sets to evaluate student performance with proper coaching and feedback, and to prepare students for their cosmetology, barbering, or esthetician state board examination.

Advanced Makeup
Go beyond the makeup basics taught in most cosmetology programs and learn about the advanced techniques required for bridal, editorial, and runway makeup.

Aesthetics
Learn hands-on skincare techniques and theory in hair removal, waxing, brow design, makeup, facials, facial massage, use of facial machines, and skin therapy.
