A Message to Our Clients about COVID-19:
Welcome back, we’ve missed you! We hope to open up our school to you starting June 2nd.
Providing a clean, safe environment for you and your service is our #1 priority. Our staff and students already followed strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols regulated by local agencies before the effects of COVID-19, but we’ve now adopted extra safety precautions and placed even greater emphasis on deep cleaning. We remain committed to continually evaluating what must be done to meet the needs of our customers, students and staff, and adhere to (and exceed) both Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and state regulations.
The following safety precautions are being taken to protect the health and wellbeing of you and our staff and students during your visit:
-Our staff and students have taken a refresher course on Salon/Spa Infection Control and earned certificates.
– Our staff and students wash their hands thoroughly before and after contact with every client.
-Our salon uses an EPA-registered disinfectant on tools, containers, and all surfaces that you may come in contact with during your visit.
-A new set of gloves is used for every client and at times must be changed during the service.
– A mask must be worn by all staff, students, and customers that enter the building.
-Upon entry into the building we will be checking the temperature of each staff member and students (twice a day) as well as our guests prior to their appointment time.
-Our waiting room is temporarily closed.
-All magazines and refreshments are not being provided at this time until further notice. We will allow you to bring your own however.
-All guests must wait in their car calling in upon arrival to check in and will be called inside as soon as a station is ready for you.
-Each Guest will be asked to wash their hands upon entry.
-We ask that all services are paid with either a debit or credit card at this time.
-Guest capacity is limited at this time. We will be only taking a few guests at a time to ensure we are keeping the social distancing guidelines in place until further changed.
We ask that you please stay home if you’re feeling sick, and the same goes for our staff. We will be happy to work with you to schedule another appointment as soon as you are feeling better. We are working hard to keep you and the salon community safe, and we know we can count on you too. Together we will make it through this trying time. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask at the front desk. We are thrilled to provide services again soon, thank you for being a loyal client!
Thank you!

*We are taking precautions as a school and will be closed until April 21st, 2020. Please continue to check our website for any updates.***

With all the news about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), many are asking questions about visiting a public space like a cosmetology school.

At Paul Mitchell Schools, the health, safety, and well-being of our students, team members, service guests, and community are among our highest priorities. We continue to monitor state, local, national, and industry guidelines regarding COVID-19 and are taking proactive measures as needed.

We are grateful for your participation in our clinic classroom and appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain a healthy and safe environment! We look forward to opening our doors soon!

Love your Paul Mitchell Merrillville Family
