Meet some of the team members who make Bella Capelli Monroeville, A Paul Mitchell Partner School so special.

Danielle Shiffler

Director

Experience in the beauty industry…

I have worked for Bella Capelli Academy for 10 years.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My children along with my mother. My mom has taught me that even through the toughest times to see the positive in the outcome ahead. Work hard so you appreciate what you have, and no worrying about what you don’t. Be kind to others, because you never know what mile they walked. My children teach me lessons every day. Today is a blessing and tomorrow is not a guarantee, so laugh as much as you can and enjoy moments at the present time. Never look at tomorrow; live today with no regrets.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Monroeville is…

All of it is truly my favorite thing. I love the family atmosphere we carry and being able to see individuals grow and smile while doing it.

To me, living beautifully means…

Living in the moments and enjoying them. Making people smile and feel loved. Having no regrets tomorrow and knowing you lived today to the fullest.

Experience in the beauty industry…

Fresh, new experience in the beauty industry! I am super excited to continue creating relationships with the Future Professionals, and hearing them tell me about their work.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My mom. She will not settle for anything less than the best, and she has taught me the value of an education and hard work. She is the most loving and goofy person I know, and always makes the best out of situations.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Monroeville is…

The positive and loving environment. I never dread to get up and go to work every day because I know that each day has something new and exciting! My co-workers, as well as the Future Professionals, feel like family to me. I also love seeing the transition of the Future Professionals, starting with their tour and ending with their graduation.

To me, living beautifully means…

Living to the fullest. “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” —John Lennon

Taneisha Baldwin

Future Professional Adviser

Experience in education…

I was a substitute teacher at a Vo-Tech and I began as a Learning Leader at Bella Capelli Academy in August 2008.

Experience in the beauty industry…

I have been licensed for almost 23 years. I worked in two salons as a cosmetologist and managed one of them. I was able to work with hospice patients, cutting and styling hair and giving manicures. I also performed facials, manicures, and pedicures at a number of spas and a resort.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My mom, Pastor Alvin Berkley, Tina Black, and Sylvain Elessie.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Monroeville is…

I get to work with a wonderful group of people. I have the opportunity to learn and grow and help others to do the same.

To me, living beautifully means…

Showing love to others (my children, my family, my friends, my fellow staff members, Future Professionals, and strangers). I believe that a little love can go a long way. You never know a person’s story or what they are going through. It is something that can be given freely, but be worth much, much more.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My family, because they are my support team and my cheerleaders. They have taught me to work hard for what you want and to be grateful for what you have. They have always taught me acceptance, respect, and love, and I will be forever grateful to them.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Monroeville is…

I have a ton of reasons why I love working at Bella Capelli Academy Monroeville, but if I had to choose just a few reasons, they would be the "Be Nice (or Else!)" culture, where everyone is loved and accepted; my supportive team of Learning Leaders and my talented and inspiring Future Professionals.

To me, living beautifully means…

Taking risks, being grateful, and living with no regrets.

Brooke Candiello

Experience in the beauty industry…

Five years.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My mom. No matter what life has thrown her way, she has always managed to pick up the pieces with a smile on her face, never letting anyone see what is behind closed doors. She raised me to be a kind and generous person, helping those that I can and never expecting anything in return. She is the real "I am me!"

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Monroeville is…

Being a trusted adviser and mentor to our Future Professionals, and seeing them from day one of their tour to the last day of graduation. It is so inspiring to know that I was a part of their success and helped them realize that their dreams of becoming a professional in the beauty industry CAN and WILL come true!

To me, living beautifully means…

Accepting each day as a gift. We have all heard that tomorrow is never promised and that is the absolute truth. I wake up each day ready for the adventure. I have a positive attitude and accept whatever hand I am dealt that day. I am thankful that I wake up each day healthy, alive, blessed, and ready to take on the world!

Danielle Stokum

Learning Leader / Core Specialist

Experience in education…

One year.

Experience in the beauty Industry…

Over five years' experience. I have been in salons that were private and walk-in based. I extended my experience to hair restoration when I helped cancer patients and others who were losing their hair feel beautiful about themselves. I have certifications from Nick Arrojo, Brazilian Blowout, dry cutting, and men's cutting. I also have all the advanced training Paul Mitchell has offered. I am level one–certified in color as well.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

Miranda Kerr, a Victoria Secret model. Her book, Treasure Yourself, really opened me up to be the woman I am today. She and my Bella family have helped me become the Learning Leader I am today. My newest mentors are Winn Claybaugh and Kathy Buckley, since hearing them speak in Baltimore, MD. They have and will always have changed my life for the better, forever.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Monroeville is…

The Future Professionals and of course the staff. I love how generous and caring the staff is. I have never worked for a company where we can all be a big family. Mentoring the Future Professionals, having them in my class from day one, and then watching their journey is an amazing experience. I have never had to be someone's biggest cheerleader—now I do and I love my job more and more.

To me, living beautifully means…

Being positive, finding joy, and taking each day to the fullest. I am my own story that’s my masterpiece, and I have all intentions of rocking it out. Living it up, never having regret because tomorrow is never a guarantee.
