A Paul Mitchell Partner School Team

Meet some of the team members who make Bella Capelli Academy in Robinson, A Paul Mitchell Partner School so special.

Jordan Cannon

Education Leader, Bella Capelli Academy graduate

Experience in education…

I have been working at Bella Capelli Academy for eight years. I have taught color and texture specialties, and have had the opportunity to attend many Paul Mitchell trainings. I also have been certified in color, cutting, texture, and makeup.

Experience in the beauty industry…

Along with working at Bella Capelli, I worked in a salon for five years and absolutely loved it.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

Aubrey Harley. He works at Paul Mitchell The School Charlotte, is a member of Texture Advanced Academy, and is a successful stylist. I have had the pleasure of knowing him for many years. His love for texture and the beauty industry is so inspiring, and his positive energy and kindness is absolutely contagious.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Pittsburgh, A Paul Mitchell Partner School, is…

Teaching all the Future Professionals. I love seeing how they grow into amazing stylists ready to take on the industry.

To me, living beautifully means…

Just being who you want to be no matter what people may think or say...truly being yourself.

Kaitlyn Dorko

Core Specialist/ Clinic Floor Leader, Bella Capelli Academy graduate

Experience in education…

I have been with Bella Capelli Academy for eight years, teaching and working with every aspect of our education program! I have taught Core, cutting, texture, makeup, color, final phase, theory, and have been a clinic floor leader. I have run the service desk, and have played the role of education leader and Future Professional adviser as well!

Experience in the beauty industry…

I assisted at Latrobe Hair Company for two years while in beauty school. I also worked behind the chair at Latrobe Hair Company for two years while attending Bella Capelli for my teacher's license. After a year, I chose to dedicate my heart and career to teaching. It is my true passion and life calling!

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

I look to three main people: my kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Banker, for her amazingly kind soul and dedication to her craft; Bob Marley, for his selfless soul and ability to move mountains with his words; DJ Muldoon for his dedication to the industry, his ability to create a brand and a life for himself, and his creative genius.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Pittsburgh, A Paul Mitchell Partner School, is…

I am able to change the face of the beauty industry. I love that I get to help others reach their goals and dreams. It truly is a life changing experience, every day of my life! It's not a job—it's my life, it's my passion!

To me, living beautifully means…

Being humble. Being grateful. Being present. Most important, being authentically YOU!

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

There are always people who inspire me, but if I had to pick that one special person it would have to be Michelle Ivancik: I think without her kindness 10 years ago, I would not be here.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Pittsburgh, A Paul Mitchell Partner School, is…

That get to wake up every day and be excited about what the day will bring and who I will meet! I consider myself one of the luckiest people who gets to do something that they absolutely love to do, and hopefully makes a positive impact on the lives of others.

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

My mentor is Jordan Kalafat. I admire the way she stays inspired as well as her dedication to her career. She is always keeping up with trends and staying current to help her students learn as much as they can, and her doing that has kept me inspired and motivated to better myself as a Learning Leader.

My favorite thing about working at Bella Capelli Academy Pittsburgh, A Paul Mitchell Partner School, is…

The way the students stay motivated, are eager to learn, and continue to inspire me every day with their dedication and motivation. It is such an inspiration to remember where I started and to relive that excitement every day in this career.

To me, living beautifully means…

Being yourself, being confident in yourself, and being the person you aspire and strive to be. Beauty is something that comes from within, not your exterior, and I think to find that in yourself is the key to living a beautiful, happy life.

Experience in the beauty industry…

I worked in a salon in my hometown of Butler for a number of years through high school and college. Even though I was just the receptionist, I fell in love with the industry and everything about it. I knew that I wanted to be a part of it somehow, so Bella Capelli was the perfect fit for my career!

My mentor, or the person who has most inspired me is…

One mentor is my mum who has taught me to be a self-motivated, driven individual. She inspires me to be a better person and to always pursue my dreams and passions. My other mentor is my director and friend, Gina Garone, who shows me daily how to lead with compassion and how to model the best behavior for your team.

Experience in the beauty industry…

Although I am not currently in a salon, I consider my time working in the clinic as salon experience. I still love to do hair in my free time, and have a steady clientele after my workday at BCA is over.

How much I have learned and how many opportunities I have been given to grow.
