Briana Oborn

Director

Experience in education...
Briana graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Provo in 2005 and has since spent her time working in various positions at Paul Mitchell the Schools in New York City, Santa Barbara, CA and Sherman Oaks, CA.  She has held many positions within the schools in both the education department as well as the admissions department.  Currently Briana is the proud Director of Paul Mitchell the School Sherman Oaks.

Experience in the beauty industry...
Aside from Briana’s experience in education she has also been a master stylist and master colorist as well as owned and managed salons in West Hollywood and Santa Clarita.  She has had the honor of styling hair for both New York Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Week as well as been lead stylist for many other runway shows.  Currently Briana still owns a salon and is constantly getting her hands in hair and maintaining a very loyal clientele.

Living beautiful means having integrity and honesty.  It means taking risks and staying humble.  It means living a grateful life.  Beauty is a state of mind, it is something that lives within our hearts and minds.

Vicky Lemus

Nail Specialist/Learning Leader

Experience in education...
Vicky has been sharing her extensive knowledge of hair, skin and nails in cosmetology schools for 30 years.

Experience in the beauty industry...
She has been a hairstylist for over 35 years.

Dawn has worked at PMTS Sherman Oaks since they first opened in 2006.

Dawn is a licensed massage therapist and feels passionate about all industries that make people feel beautiful and good about themselves

Mesh Lenaburg

Cutting Specialist, Learning Leader

Experience in education...
Mesh has always been an educator.  She trained to be a teacher and taught English in Russia for a year.  In 2009, her teaching abilities aligned with her passion and she began teaching for Paul Mitchell Schools.

Experience in the beauty industry...
She began her career in the beauty industry in 2006 and am now a certified cutting specialist working exclusively for Paul Mitchell Schools.

Izzy Hernandez

Izzy’s experience with education has always been on the administrative side of things, helping students enroll into something that they love.

Izzy was brought up in the beauty industry by her Mother who would make sure she was around it consistently growing up.

Bryana Chambers

Bryana began her journey in education as a pre-school teacher’s aid, which let her to pursue education in her true passion of cosmetology.

Bryana has been a stylist since 2010 and has experience behind the chair, on set, and in photo shoots.

Amanda Rogan

Color Specialist/ Learning Leader

Experience in education...
Amanda’s experience in education started when she was 16 years old and was teaching American Sign Language.  From that age on she knew she always wanted to work in a school environment, even throughout her journey to get her cosmetology license.  She is a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School Sherman Oaks and came back in 2011 to start her career as a learning leader.

Experience in the beauty industry...
Amanda’s experience in the beauty industry ranges from behind the chair to photo shoots to screen work and more.  Hair is her passion and her creative outlet, so any chance she has to get her hands in hair…she is there!

Being able to share her passion with Future Professionals every day.

Being able to see the confidence you feel on the inside, on the outside.

Julianne Hawks

Admissions Leader

Eperience in education...
With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dominican University with a double major in both Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising and double minors in Business Management and Studio Art, Julianne has a wide range of education experience.  She has worked in college admissions since 2005 at various colleges and universities in Chicago, Cleveland, Phoenix and Los Angeles.

Experience in the beauty industry...
Julianne has worked in the admissions office for cosmetology schools and has also designed, coordinated, and styled various fashion shows while working with beauty industry professionals.  She loves working with creative people and the beauty industry is filled with them.

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Sherman Oaks is...
Getting to work with some of the most creative, fun and amazing people (both staff and future professionals).  We get to help make others dreams come true every day.

To me, living beautifully means...
Always living life to the fullest, being thankful for what you have, and helping others. 

Tina Dahlquist

Experience in education...
Tina is the Sales Leader at Sherman Oaks and has been with the School since 2015.

Experience in the beauty industry...
Tina has experience in customer service and guest services.  She is very goal driven and knows so much about the sales side of the beauty industry.

Alby Pugliese

Texture Specialist/Core Leader/Learning Leader

Experience in education...
Not only has Alby worked for Paul Mitchell since 2015 he also coached in speech and debate at Los Angeles Valley College.

Experience in the beauty industry...
Alby has been a make-up artist since 2008 where he started working in a community theatre in Glendale.  He has done make-up for editorial and bridal.  Since receiving his cosmetology license he has worked in salons specializing in bridal hair and make-up.  He even was invited to do hair for the 2015 Grammys.

My favorite thing about working at Paul Mitchell The School Sherman Oaks is...
Alby loves the fact that it is like a family at the school.  You’re free to be who you are.  The be nice culture gives us the foundation to treat one another as we would want to be treated.

To me, living beautifully means...
Getting up every day and being grateful that you have another opportunity to influence someone in a positive way.
