The Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation Presents Taryn Hiatt. Taryn Hiatt is a dedicated activist for mental health and suicide prevention. Taryn uses her experience as a loss survivor and someone in recovery from substance use disorder and mental illness to inspire hope and create change. She currently serves as the area director for the Utah chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Taryn is actively workig on her master's degree in social work and interning at the state hospital in the forensics unit. Taryn's unique approach to vulnerability creates brave spaces for other to do the same.
