Q: Can you tell us a little about your background and what inspired you to join Paul Mitchell The School Tulsa?

A: I started as a Future Professional at Paul Mitchell The School Tulsa in 2013 and immediately loved my whole experience, the atmosphere and the culture. When I graduated I worked behind the chair at Ihloff Salon for two years, but missed my time in the school and decided to come back as a learning leader and have been here for the last 9 years.

Q: Can you share a memorable moment or success story from your time mentoring Future Professionals?

A: The first class I took ownership in as a new learning leader was Final Phase. It had the biggest impact on me and a sense of pride for our graduates getting to see them pass and get their license. As learning leaders we get to mentor and train the future of our industry which is probably the coolest thing we get to be a part of.

Q: What are your hopes or goals for your Future Professionals?

A: My hopes for our Future Professionals is that they take all they can from their time here and see what a vast and exciting industry they joined. That they continue their education and realize the impact they have on each of their guests and their community.

Q: How long have you been part of the Paul Mitchell Family, and what has the journey been like so far?

A: I have been with Paul Mitchell The School Tulsa for 9 years. I started as a Learning Leader then moved to Clinic Classroom Leader for 3 years. I have spent the rest of the time as a Future Professional Advisor. My journey with Paul Mitchell has been great. I have grown as a stylist, instructor, and person because of the PM systems and the support of my Paul Mitchell family.

A: My favorite part about teaching at Paul Mitchell The School Tulsa is connecting with the Future Professionals. I love being a part of their growth and helping support them on their journey in the Cosmetology industry.

Q: What is one skill every successful stylist or professional should master?

A: If I had to pick one skill our students should master, it would be communication. Being able to communicate with your guest is the first step to a great service.
