Combining both theory and practical experience, this makeup artistry course is designed for those interested in working as a film/television industry makeup professional. Learning the history of the film/television and character appearance development is the foundation of this course. The program not only trains you to be an exceptional makeup artist, but also incorporates the film and television industry’s needs for professional makeup execution.
Become a Certified Makeup Artist
During this 600 hour course, you will learn how to create period makeup from the 1800s to now using television and film character referencing and specialized techniques with a strong emphasis on high-definition detail for the camera. You will learn techniques in natural application, evening application, camouflage makeup, corrective makeup, character development, high-definition photography, editorial, glamour, bridal, and high-definition television, film, and theater makeup. You will also learn how to use and create special effects makeup for zombie, injuries, and everything black-and-blue!
Professional career development workshops are offered that include union requirements, film/television set etiquette, portfolio creation, resume writing, job searching, and interviewing skills.
