Paul Mitchell The School Charlotte is a leading institution for aspiring cosmetologists, located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina, affectionately dubbed the “Queen City.” As one of the United States’ 25 largest cities, Charlotte provides a dynamic backdrop for the school. Since its establishment in 2012, the school has occupied an expansive 15,000-square-foot campus within Charlotte’s historic Elizabeth district.

The Elizabeth district itself, established in 1891, is steeped in history and recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Not only does it boast a dedicated streetcar spur, but it also maintains its original trolley lines—a testament to its rich past. The Elizabeth district is also home to the Visulite Theatre, a celebrated venue that originally opened as a movie theater in 1936 and now hosts a variety of live performances, contributing to the area’s vibrant cultural scene.

Within the wider Charlotte area, residents and visitors alike can explore the esteemed NASCAR Hall of Fame, engage with interactive exhibits at the Discovery Place Science Museum, enjoy outdoor adventures at Freedom Park, or savor the flavors of local cuisine in the trendy South End neighborhood.

Conveniently accessible via downtown public transit routes and located near major Charlotte highways, our campus offers free parking in two spacious lots and is within walking distance of the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens, the Mint Museum, and the contemporary Soco Gallery.
