As our co-founder John Paul DeJoria has famously said, "Success Unshared is Failure." That's why our Future Professionals at Paul Mitchell The School Cincinnati are proud and excited to give back through local events and our annual three-month FUNraising campaigns. In fact, since 2004, Paul Mitchell Schools throughout the country have raised more than $13.3 million for charities in their communities and around the world. Paul Mitchell The School Cincinnati raised over $177,000 since 2006 for our FUNraising event.
Paul Mitchell The School Cincinnati has a long list of charitable achievements and continues to give back in many ways. We are the first school to partner their Green Team with John Paul DeJoria’s Grow Appalachia Program, which helps to solve pervasive food insecurity issues by restoring the relationship between the people and the land. Our members of the Green Team act as a solid volunteer base for the garden partner site along with our admissions leader, Christina Matthews, who is the Garden Coordinator.
We partner with various organizations to help out our community. Paul Mitchell The School Cincinnati provides hair care to the poor and homeless by partnering with the Sister Bonnie Franciscan Haircuts from the Heart. We also deliver educational materials to the aspiring cosmetologists in Belize through a partnership with Expedition Belize, and help create uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer by volunteering with Flashes of Hope.
We don’t forget our furry friends! We help our local SPCA by planning two adopt-a-thons each year and by supporting Friends of Sunrock Farm who are dedicated to providing funding for low income students wishing to visit the farm and work with animals.
