Located in the Gateway Shopping Center in North Austin, Texas, Paul Mitchell The School Austin offers cosmetology, barbering, and esthetics programs. With easy access to the “Live Music Capital of the World’s” vibrant music scene as well as hundreds of hiking, biking, swimming, shopping, and dining venues, our central location provides ample opportunities for inspiration, entertainment, and fun. Close proximity to the nearby cities of Pflugerville, Round Rock, Hutto, and Georgetown makes our school a great choice.

Start your cosmetology education and learn real-world haircutting, coloring, styling, makeup, skin care, and nails. You’ll explore the fundamentals and theory in the classroom, then practice skills like braiding, extensions, and other popular techniques in a salon environment, using professional products, tools, and skills.
Cosmetology (1000 hrs)
Esthetics
Learn hands-on skincare techniques and theory in hair removal, waxing, brow design, makeup, facials, facial massage, use of facial machines, and skin therapy.
Esthetics (750 hrs)
Barbering
Students in our barbering programs learn classic short haircuts as well as scissor and clipper-over-comb techniques, fades, tapers, and precision haircutting. They also learn short-hair color placements, short-hair styling techniques, customized beard grooming, and shaves.
