What's the Best Beauty School in Utah Valley in 2020?

As the oldest school in Utah Valley, Paul Mitchell The School Provo (PMTS Provo) has a lot of history. Before PMTS Provo existed, Winn Claybaugh co-founded Von Curtis Academy in Provo which would eventually become the first Paul Mitchell The School. 

In 1982, Winn Claybaugh co-founded the Von Curtis Academy of Hair and Design. After a couple of years, he was able to form a partnership with Paul Mitchell and Paul Mitchell The School Provo was born. This would be the first of 100+ Paul Mitchell Schools that all share Winn’s passion for quality education, unique, accepting culture, and a connected network of professionals in the beauty industry.

Future Professionals (what we call our students) at PMTS Provo are fortunate to learn from the legacy left behind by so many members of Paul Mitchell’s Advanced Education team members who passed through PMTS Provo’s doors. One of these members, Jenn Carneseca, helped write educational systems used by all Paul Mitchell Schools and still teaches the fundamentals of cosmetology to our brand new future professionals in a 6 week course we call “Core”. 

This year, amid the unprecedented events surrounding the novel Coronavirus, our staff worked tirelessly to transition to distance education in order to provide for our Future Professionals, and were met with success!

We are proud to announce that our school is open and thriving because of the efforts of our Paul Mitchell family, and are pleased to share with you that by popular vote, Paul Mitchell The School Provo received recognition by Utah Valley 360 as the Best Beauty School in Utah Valley!
