Paul Mitchell The School Salt Lake City proudly provides cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, and teacher training programs at our cosmetology school in Salt Lake City, Utah. Located at the base of the majestic Wasatch Mountains, our campus is just minutes away from some of the world’s most famous alpine ski resorts, hiking trails, and a variety of places to shop and dine. Our convenient location brings together students from across the Salt Lake Valley, offering easy access from Draper, South Jordan, Herriman, Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, West Jordan, Midvale, South Salt Lake, and many other nearby communities.

Visit Our CampusCosmetology
Start your cosmetology education and learn real-world haircutting, coloring, styling, makeup, skin care, and nails. You’ll explore the fundamentals and theory in the classroom, then practice skills like braiding, extensions, and other popular techniques in a salon environment, using professional products, tools, and skills.
Cosmetology/Barbering (1600 hrs), Cosmetology/Barbering (1700 hrs), Hair Design (1200 hrs)
Barbering
Students in our barbering programs learn classic short haircuts as well as scissor and clipper-over-comb techniques, fades, tapers, and precision haircutting. They also learn short-hair color placements, short-hair styling techniques, customized beard grooming, and shaves.
Barber (1000.00 hours)
Esthetics
Learn hands-on skincare techniques and theory in hair removal, waxing, brow design, makeup, facials, facial massage, use of facial machines, and skin therapy.
Esthetics (600.00 hours), Master Esthetics (1300.00 hours), Master Esthetics (1200 hour)
Teacher Training
Our Teacher Training program uses various methodologies to teach instructors how to facilitate theory and practical lessons, along with the necessary skill sets to evaluate student performance with proper coaching and feedback, and to prepare students for their cosmetology, barbering, or esthetician state board examination.
