Take a moment to get to know some extraordinary Paul Mitchell The School Lombard alumni.
Their stories speak to the power of dreaming big—and getting a great education.
Tyler began his career as a first generation beauty industry member. His love of hair came at an early of 12 age when he first picked up a doll head. He spent long hours in his basement where he had a station set up mastering his styling and finishing techniques. Tyler found his love for Paul Mitchell Schools when he first stepped in the doors of Paul Mitchell The School Escanaba, when his mother started working there in 2007. Over the years Tyler would travel to Chicago from Escanaba to attend any classes and events he could. Since Tyler was always eager to help out he was able to experience assisting back stage at the What Inspires You Tour 2010, as well as at a Robert Cromeans event in 2011. Tyler continued making himself present until he graduated high school in 2013.
Two weeks after graduating high school in Michigan, Tyler packed his things and moved to Chicago. Tyler enrolled in Paul Mitchell The School Lombard as the very first student. During his time there he proved his ‘say yes’ attitude by being involved in the Take Home team, Student Council, Be Nice (Or Else!) team, fundraising, Caper 2014 and Phase Two. Tyler is also a recipient of the Dean’s List and has honors in cutting, color and texture.
Tyler knew after school he needed to partner with a company that would grow him as a person. He joined PSC in May 2014, as The Space associate, as well as night school service desk coordinator at Paul Mitchell the School Lombard. It brings him much joy learning the business side to our industry as well as growing the students in there service and sales behind the chair.
