2025 Beacon Awards Include 47 Winners from Paul Mitchell Schools
The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) has announced its Beacon Class of 2025—nearly 200 students from across the United States, including 47 winners from 16 Paul Mitchell Schools.
From May 31 to June 2, the Beacon winners will gather at Premiere Orlando, where they can explore the country’s largest beauty trade show, attend the prestigious 36th Annual North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), and receive swag bags containing hundreds of dollars’ worth of products, courtesy of Beacon and NAHA sponsors.
With direct access to renowned experts, the Beacon Class of 2025 will gain the skills, insights, and relationships that will not only shape their careers but also influence the future of the beauty industry for years to come. “The opportunity to connect students with the best in the industry and provide mentorship is crucial to their success and the success of our industry,” said PBA Executive Director Leslie Perry.
Entering the Beacon competition involves a rigorous selection process, including submission of a BEAUTISTA Portfolio, a social media portfolio, a video introduction, and a letter of recommendation. Winners were selected by a panel of esteemed industry judges, including salon owners, manufacturers, and distributors.
Thanks to a grant from the Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation, funded largely by the Paul Mitchell Schools’ annual FUNraising campaign, Beacon winners are eligible to apply for travel grants of up to $250 per person. The Associated Skin Care Professionals are also awarding $100 grants to five skincare students to help support their journey to Beacon. These generous grants are intended to help students cover travel expenses to Beacon so they can advance their careers without feeling financially overwhelmed.
