PBA’s Beacon Class of 2026 Includes 62 from Paul Mitchell Schools

The Professional Beauty Association welcomed the winners of its 2026 Beacon student competition to their annual gathering in Orlando, Florida. This year’s Beacon class was the largest in the last five years, with 62 of the 222 winners coning from 20 Paul Mitchell Schools.

In addition to tickets to the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) and the exciting Premiere Orlando event, each Beacon attendee took home over $500 in professional products from leading brands, with two swag bags filled with tools, treatments, and inspiration to fuel their next creative chapters. Beacon also rewarded these rising stars three days of exclusive programming from industry experts and the opportunity to network, learn, and build connections that can shape their future.

Beacon students also had early access to the PBA Beacon Opportunities Fair, where they connected with brands and industry leaders and explored career pathways.

Thanks to a $15,000 grant from the Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation, funded largely by the Paul Mitchell Schools’ annual FUNraising campaign, all Beacon winners were eligible to apply for 60 travel grants of up to $250 per person. These generous grants were available to help students cover travel expenses to Beacon and can advance their careers without feeling financially overwhelmed.
